A pedometer gives you a number. We wanted a reason to get off the couch: a line to cross every day, a streak you don't want to break, and, for those who want it, people walking at the same time.

Guides and tools about everyday walking: converting steps to kilometers, counting steps on iPhone, choosing a goal. Every page cites its sources when it gives a number. We never promise weight loss or health effects: for that, the right person is a doctor.
